This weekend the new “Rick Collier”-branded websites finally went “live.” This site (RickCollier.com), my travel and photography blog “The Photo Tourist” (thePhotoTourist.com), and the for-sale photography on Rick Collier Imagery (www.RickCollierImagery.com) are now up and running. Finally! It feels like it has been forever since I started developing the new sites last month!
The subscriber feed on “The Photo Tourist” seems to have transitioned successfully late last week. (Which Feedburner announced to all subscribers in an obtuse and unplanned way when you all received a massive e-mail that contained the last 10 PhotoTourist posts. “Sorry ’bout that, chief.” I didn’t realize that would happen.) Tonight I will make the first post using the new thePhotoTourist. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m working now to get all the photos moved over to my new RickCollierImagery galleries. That will take some weeks. Until the transition is complete all the old stuff will still be available on my old imagery site (which can be accessed as the last choice in the “Home” menu on all my new sites).
Please let me know what you think! Good? Bad? Indifferent?
